All the Small Things Bonus Material: DVR Wars

Like I said in today's column, our DVR has been working overtime recording not only my plethera of programming, but my Wife's new additions as well.

I know a lot of couples that have too many programs to record at once between the two of them. For example, we know one couple that struggles on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. EST (8 p.m. MST) with The Office, Grey's Anatomy, and Fringe all on at the same time.

They came up with the best solution possible: my buddy watches Fringe in their bedroom on the smaller TV while The Office and Grey's record on the main set in the living room.

I always complain that there's not enough good TV on anymore (an issue that is quickly getting fixed by freshman comedies Community and Modern Family) but I just flipped through our scheduled recordings for the week and here's the day-by-day breakdown:

MONDAYS - How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory

TUESDAYS - The Biggest Loser (Ugh), 90210 (UGH), Scrubs (finally something for me on Tuesdays!)

WEDNESDAYS - Top Chef, Modern Family

THURSDAYS (the big night) - Community, Parks and Recreation, The Office, 30 Rock, Grey's Anatomy, and Private Practice

Other than SNL on Saturdays and Mad Men on Sundays (when in season), I think that's it.

Wow. After seeing that list in print, I suppose the moral of the story is that instead of fighting over DVR space we should probably get out more.

What about you? Any DVR battles in your house? Feel free to comment below!

What about GLEE on Wednesdays? You are seriously missing out.
